The mainstream media chose to address the Tea Party tax protests in one of two ways: They either found the most extreme viewpoint and portrayed it as representative, or they just didn’t bother to cover it at all.

The arrogance and hypocrisy is typical Big Media. John McCormack points out the same condescending CNN reporter was nothing but sunshine and puppies with “Bush=Hitler” antiwar protestes. Indeed, McCormack notes there’s a history of this biased protest coverage. In short, protests for liberal causes are noble (“dissent is patriotic!) and protests for conservative causes are beyond the pale (“dissent is fascism!).

Gotta love how this woman handled CNN. And Susan Roesgen is lying through her teeth — she did indeed paint the protests as pro-Republican, when clearly it is non-partisan.
