McCainiacs finally get it.
Monday, November 24, 2008
The McCain camp finally starts to realize what fiscal conservatives knew years ago — McCain’s lack of fiscally conservative economic principles would hamstring his election chances. [Business & Media Institute] As it turns out, swaying from conservative principles doesn’t always pay off for a Republican presidential candidate. Sen. John McCain learned that lesson that hard [...]
What “recount” means to Democrats.
Monday, November 24, 2008
To Democrats, “recount” means stacking the deck with liberal activists. BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. — A woman who worked for Al Franken earlier this week during the Senate recount in one county ended up counting ballots as a nonpartisan volunteer here Saturday in a recount that grew heated at times. No shananigans there. Move along, move along.
Obama’s foreign policy surprise.
Monday, November 24, 2008
Michael Goldfarb notes that “Barack Obama’s national security team is beginning to take shape and there is not a progressive in sight” Victor Davis Hanson adds that if such a pleasant surprise plays out “Obama has not merely embarrassed his hard-left base, but has terribly humiliated the media as well.” I say that before we [...]
I don’t get Pennsylvanians.
Tuesday, November 4, 2008
Democrats regularly make it clear that they have little respect for middle Americans. One extraordinary example would be Pennsylvania, whom of its citizens Barack Obama said in April, “So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or [...]
Thank Heavens! We’re saved!
Thursday, October 9, 2008
NICOSIA (Reuters) – A slowdown in the world economy may give the planet a breather from the excessively high carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions responsible for climate change, a Nobel Prize winning scientist said on Tuesday. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up. Wonderful. Our deflated 401k’s will heal our environment problem which is to begin [...]
Washington Post unhinged.
Friday, September 12, 2008
The Washington Post seems to be dropping any sense of balanced coverage of McCain-Palin in their paper today. Reporters can cover fair issues on any campaign, of course, but the below article was just egregiously inaccurate. Throw in the Cindy McCain is a druggie story, also on page 1, and the charge of slanted coverage [...]
The drug use double standard.
Friday, September 12, 2008
Just so we’re all clear on the mainstream media’s rule: Coverage of Cindy McCain’s drug use — fair game. (Is Cindy running for office?) Coverage of Barack Obama’s drug use — won’t mention it anymore. Not relevant. [Kathryn Jean Lopez] The Washington Post also aims at Cindy McCain on Friday, with a [page one!] profile [...]
The son-in-service double standard.
Friday, September 12, 2008
ABC News asks, “Is Sarah Palin Politicizing Son’s Military Service?” Gasp! Is she? Is she really? John McCormack wonders, did ABC News headline that for Joe Biden as well? But wait a second. Hasn’t Joe Biden publicly discussed his son Beau’s deployment to Iraq? Why, yes, yes he has. ABC’s Berman does not mention this [...]
