Where are the privacy freaks?

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The son of a Democratic Tennessee state lawmaker pleaded not guilty Wednesday to hacking the e-mail account of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Remember: Privacy rights are for liberals and Democrats, not conservatives and Republicans.

Question for McCain:

3. How does the program decide which mortgage holders to help? About 27% of US households have paid off their mortgages and 32% of households rent. How can you ask responsible borrowers and renters to pay for this program? That’s one of several questions from Amanda Carpenter in response to John McCain’s idea that the [...]

Or not.

Here’s the Wall Street Journal. They actually bothered to watch the debate. Bet they wish they could get their 90 minutes back. Below they lament that McCain simply isn’t aggressive enough. Obama certainly provided opportunities to retort many of Obama’s most mistaken statements: Not that Mr. McCain didn’t have opportunities. The Illinois Democrat made his [...]

Debate: McCain wins.

And finally started talking about the Democrat-Fannie-Freddie start to this eco failure. But Obama didn’t hurt himself enough tonight, so it’s a net draw, (except maybe in prematurely declaring war on the nuclear-armed Pakistan). That’s what my friends and family told me anyway. The losers are you suckers who spent 90 minutes of your life [...]

Sarah sets heckler straight.

“The race is over.”

This is beautiful, from Stephen Green: In Slate Magazine, William Saletan says the polls are so stacked against John McCain, there’s no possibility he can win. The race is over. Oh, wait. That was eight years ago, and he was talking about George W. Bush. Why Bush Is Toast. Since Labor Day, the media have [...]

Whitewashing Obama’s Ayers.

Updated, albeit with GOP talking points. There’s no defense of Obama’s relationship with cop-killer and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Imagine if McCain had been on a board of directors with Tim McVeigh or the Unibomber. [Washington Post] “There’s been a lot of interest in what I read lately,” Palin noted in Colorado. “Well, I was [...]

The debate winners and loser.

I didn’t post much about the debate because I’ve watched enough of them to know that they don’t really matter all that much, people quickly forget any important points that come out of them, and, with the rare exceptions such as “You’re no Jack Kennedy” or a “…my opponent’s youth or inexperience” slapshot, they don’t [...]

Just curious…

…But if Sarah Palin committed as many gaffes as Joe Biden does wouldn’t the mainstream media be all over her? In fact, they already do that. But Mr. Biden gets a free pass apparently. Biden’s latest gaffes, including references to being “shot at” in Iraq or that his helicopter had been “forced down” during his [...]

Clinton assists McCain.

This tells you two things. First, once you become an ex-president you have a little more freedom to be objective and centrist. And, two, Obama has really pissed off the Clintons.
